Obituary for Elida Eguia Solis

Elida Eguia Solis, 80, of Soledad, passed away surrounded by family, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Katherine Healthcare Center in Salinas.

Elida was born May 13, 1937 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a former resident of McCullen, Texas and resident of Monterey County for 45 years. Elida was employed with Basic Foods for over 30 years, retiring in the late 1990's. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenfield.

She is survived by her son, Oscar (Sylvia) Solis Sr. of Soledad; grandchildren, Oscar (Anayeli) Solis Jr., of Greenfield, Christopher Solis of Soledad, Marisela Solis of Soledad, Benjamin (Ana) Solis of Greenfield, Esmerelda Solis of Soledad; 14 great grandchildren. Elida was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco & Nicolasa Eguia; sisters, Alejandra & Petra Eguia.

Visitation:
Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Woodyard Funeral Home, Soledad

Funeral Service:
Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Greenfield.

Burial:
Soledad Cemetery District
