Obituary for Angelina "Angie" Mora Vasquez

Angelina “Angie” Mora Vasquez, 79, of Soledad, died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on September 15, 2017 at Eden Valley Care Center in Soledad, California.

She was born to Luis and Socorro Mora on October 11, 1937 in Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. Angie came to the United States as a child. Angie was a business owner of the Carousel Baby Boutique in Soledad for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her beautiful gardens, and loved dancing. She also raised canary and cockatoo birds. Angie loved walking to her boutique daily and talking to people.

On May 6, 1956 she married the love of her life, Bernardo Lucio Vasquez; together they had five children; Joe (Amelia) Vasquez, Susana (Ben) Jimenez, Gloria (Fred) Ledesma, Bernie Vasquez Jr, Jenny (Gabe) Ramirez; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Bernie, her parents and her sister Rachel Camacho. Surviving brothers are Faustino Mora, Rudy Mora, Fernando Mora, Bobby Mora, and sister, Vicky Escobar.

Angie was a member of Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church in Soledad and member of the Young Lady Institute. Per her request, private services will be on Friday, September 22, 2017. The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to the staff of Eden Valley Care Center and Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
